DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
DramaShort respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from everyone who uses the Service. All series on DramaShort are original works produced by us with the help of AI tools; any resemblance to existing works is unintended, and we act quickly on valid notices. If you wish to exercise your rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. §512, as amended) or similar laws in your country, please follow the procedure below.
1. Reporting claimed infringement
If you believe that any content made available on or through the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property right — including the use of your likeness, voice, artwork, story or characters — send a written Notification of Claimed Infringement to our designated agent (section 3). Your notice must include substantially the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the right allegedly infringed;
- Identification of the copyrighted work or other right claimed to have been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list);
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or disabled, with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it — ideally the exact URL(s) on dramashort.io (for example
https://dramashort.io/drama/series-name/ep/3) and, for video, the approximate timestamp; - Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Notices that do not substantially meet these requirements may not be acted upon. We may share your notice (including your contact details) with the party that supplied the material, and you consent to that disclosure. You should consult a lawyer or review applicable law to confirm your obligations before sending a notice.
2. What happens next
When we receive a valid notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material identified — across every domain where the series is distributed — and, where appropriate, notify the uploader or production team. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
3. Designated agent
Notifications of Claimed Infringement and Counter-Notifications should be sent to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent — DramaShort
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: "DMCA Notice — DramaShort"
This address is only for copyright and intellectual-property matters. Other requests sent here will not receive a response; please use [email protected] instead.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a Counter-Notification to the designated agent containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which DramaShort may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or their agent.
Upon receiving a valid Counter-Notification, we may forward it to the original complainant and restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
5. False notifications
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. DramaShort reserves the right to seek damages from any party that submits a false notification or counter-notification.
6. Repeat infringers
It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable access for and terminate the relationship with any partner, supplier or user found to be a repeat infringer.
7. Unauthorized copies of our content
Our episodes are delivered encrypted and watermarked per domain. If you find DramaShort series re-uploaded elsewhere, please report the link to [email protected].
