1. Application of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DramaShort ("DramaShort", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit dramashort.io and its sub-pages (the "Service"). By using the Service you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who we are

The Service is operated by DramaShort, which acts as the data controller for the processing described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

3. What data we collect

You can watch DramaShort without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, postal address or payment details. We collect:

• Device and usage data — IP address (used transiently for security and approximate country), browser type, operating system, device model, language, referring page, pages viewed, episodes played and time spent.
• Data stored on your device — an anonymous session identifier, your watch history, your "My List" and the episodes you unlocked are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you share a link.
• Advertising identifiers — our advertising partners may set cookies or read mobile advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads (see sections 6 and 7 and our Cookie Policy).
• Information you send us — if you email us (support, copyright notices), we keep the message and your contact details to answer it.

4. How we use the data

• to stream episodes, remember your progress and unlocks, and keep the Service working;
• to show advertising, including rewarded ads that unlock episodes, and to measure ad performance;
• to count views and understand which dramas, genres and markets people enjoy, so we can make better series;
• to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, invalid ad traffic, scraping and unauthorized redistribution of our videos;
• to respond to your requests and comply with legal obligations, including copyright notices.

5. Legal basis for processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

We process personal data on the basis of: our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving a free, ad-supported service; your consent where it is required (for example, for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Advertising

DramaShort is free because it is supported by advertising. We work with Google (Google Ad Manager / AdSense) and its certified partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. 7. Advertising choices

• Opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ad Settings.
• Opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
• On mobile devices, use the "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Delete advertising ID" setting of your operating system.
• Where a consent banner is shown, you can change your choices at any time from the link it provides.

Opting out does not remove ads; it only makes them less tailored to you.

8. Retention

Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Aggregated statistics (such as view counts) contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely. Data in your browser stays until you clear it. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle the request and any legal claim.

9. With whom we share data

• advertising partners (Google and its certified vendors) as described above;
• infrastructure providers that host and deliver the Service (cloud servers, content delivery networks such as Cloudflare);
• authorities or third parties when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights and users;
• a successor entity in case of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing with advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some U.S. state laws — see section 14.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and Asia. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Third-party websites

Ads and links may take you to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted video delivery and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or the California CCPA/CPRA and similar U.S. state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data and targeted advertising. Because we do not hold accounts, most data we have is tied only to device identifiers; clearing your browser storage and cookies removes it from your device. 15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
