Waitress Elena Reyes gets a photo of her son Adrian sitting on a duffel bag of cash in mafia king Luca DeCarlo's casino office; she storms in and offers a one-year consort marriage to save him.
Luca brings Elena and Adrian to the DeCarlo estate, where she learns he must marry before his 40th birthday or lose control to his cousin Valentina.
At a high-stakes board dinner, Elena must play the perfect wife; Damon crashes the party and hints Luca may be Adrian's real father.
Adrian's pre-surgery blood panel reveals a rare marker matching Luca; Luca orders a paternity test and confesses his past with Elena just as Adrian crashes.
Adrian survives surgery, but Valentina obtains the DNA result and moves to freeze Luca's shares and void the marriage.
At the emergency board meeting, Valentina reveals the contract's no-love clause; Luca publicly declares he loves Elena, breaking his own rule, and the board sets a deadline for proof.
Elena signs the declaration, but Damon returns with a USB and a blackmail demand, revealing he's now Valentina's witness.
Valentina freezes DeCarlo hospital payments, forcing Elena to search the estate study; she finds a hidden ledger of Valentina's embezzlement.
Luca and Elena attend a charity gala to confront Valentina publicly; Elena plants the ledger in Valentina's coat while Luca claims his wife.
The board votes to strip Luca's shares and Valentina freezes all medical accounts; Luca is arrested, leaving Elena with a sealed envelope.
Valentina counters by freezing Elena's new shares and moving to terminate Luca's parental rights; a sealed codicil emerges that could destroy Elena's claim.
